Destructive Testing Sampling

We are using an anaerobic adhesive for bonding steel bearings into an aluminum housing. We have recently had some issues regarding the bond strength (mostly process control and dimensional issues)and want to incorporate a sampling plan to ensure consistency of our process. It is our belief that non-destructive testing of the adhesive bond may (and probably will) degrade the bond strength that we are trying to evaluate. If this is true, then destructive testing is required. The questions are: 1.) Is our assumption regarding non-destructive testing correct? and 2.) How do we determine an adequate sample size for whichever test method is appropriate. I can find little or no information regarding destructive sampling plans and hope that you have some experience and/or information regarding this subject.

NOTE: The need for assistance is IMMEDIATE!

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
