I have been charged with updating our internal sampling and inspection protocols for raw materials and chemicals received from outside suppliers. All I can find are sampling plans for 'parts and things' based on attributes, with limited information on variables. We are currently using a modified ANSI plan to determine the number of containers to pull a sample from for evaluation. Our accept/reject criterea is based on chemical analysis of individual lots received. We need to satisfy FDA regulations on some materials. Does anyone have any alternate plans or sources of information on how much/how many to sample when you are receiving bags, drums, etc. of materials?
