inspecting isolated lots

A quality control procedure is in use for our lot-by-lot inspection for large-scale topographic maps. This procedure is based on ISO 2859-1 and ISO 2859-3 (both indexed by AQL). The fact that we receive more than 10 deliveries for each project give us enough confidence that we do not accept an average quality less than the AQL.

We have also some isolated maps to evaluate. Those maps are not anymore under production. Quality control is based on LQ (ISO 2859-2). The operating curves indicate that there is little chance to accept a quality less than the LQ. How can we have an idea of the quality those isolated lots really have ? Afterwards we want to integrate those isolated maps in our database covering the whole of a city.

We have a second question about ISO 2859-2. In our specifications is written that as "consumers" we consider the lots received in isolation. Honestly I am alarmed there is little difference in the sample size we need in function of the lot size. Why is it that there are only four classes provided ??? The inspection of an existing city map ten times more extensive than a small village requires mostly almost the same sample ??
