Presampling and AQL

Many firms use devices to identify defective units and automatically reject them from the manufacturing line before packaging. The totals are kept to understand the yield.

Later, the product is sampled according to a sampling plan w/accept/reject numbers for the same defect that was earlier identified by machine and tossed out. The machine does not find all the particular defect.

What does this say for the AQL that the company has for its product and the associated sampling plan/acceptance criteria? Is the production batch meeting the AQL when earlier defective units are eliminated? Before the sampling plan for AQL.
