There is not one correct answer of what to do with rejected lots. It depends on the situation. What is the product? Is it incoming or outgoing product? Where did the plan come from? Who specified it? Who is the decision-maker? Whoever designs/specifies the plan makes that decision usually specifies what action to take when a lot is rejected.

Depending on the situation, you would rectify the lot, scrap it, rework it, blend it, lower its price, use it for a different purpose, etc.
