Our suppliers provide our company with products imported from another country. When the goods (gift items)arrived at the warehouse of our supplier, 100% inspection is conducted. Afterwhich, the QA supervisor of our supplier performs random sampling (Sampling plan used is Mil Std 105-E, Inspection Level II, AQL for major is 1.5% and 2.5% for minor). The QA of our company also conducts random sampling using the same sampling plan. If we plan to eliminate the conduct of random sampling by our company, what steps should we take? Note:4th inspection is performed because random sampling is performed by another QA at the warehouse of our company) Do we need to conduct a study and validation? What data do we need to gather before we can say that it is safe to eliminate the random sampling performed by our company?
