kris,

I do not understand what you mean by "Required Accuracy". Can you provide a definition or a link?

Accuracy usually refers to the mean being on target, as opposed to precision, which refers to variability about the mean.

To answer an earlier question,

1) AQL is not just the counterpart of CL. The typical usage of CL with variables data is in the confidence interval for the mean.

2) You can also calculate the confidence interval for individuals -- which is always wider than the confidence interval for the mean.

3) You can also calculate the confidence interval for percentage of items/measurements nonconforming to a specification limit.

Are you developing a sampling plan for the mean or for percent nonconforming?
