Hi Guys,
I have been asked by my Director to determine the sampling size for testing purposes of a material that has a defect rate of 0.05%, requires a 99.5% confidence rating that 99.5% of them will work. I have calculated the sampling size to be 329. (precision level:1%)
My question is: Is there anyway to achieve this same confidence on a lot size production of less than 329? Is there a way to calculate sampling size as a portion of lot size given confidence level and defect rate?
Any help would be great.
Cheers,
Tim
