Right sampling plan

My company recently changes the sampling plan I was using: N=184, Ac=8, Re=9 for a 2.5 AQL, 7.0 LTPD in witch lots are between 200 and 7000 units for attribute audits. The new sampling plan I have to use is N=32, Ac=5, Re=6 for an AQL=2.5. Some of my coworkers are clamming that by doing so we can audit more lots and by “accumulation”, we can gather more information so we can have a better control and understanding not just of the product only but also of the plants that are manufacturing the garments. I have basically three questions 1- Is the new sampling plan valid as it is? 2- Is there any theory that explains the “accumulation” of results as a valid procedure? 3- With the second sampling plan. I it valid to say that if, for example 100 audits were performed, and if the average fraction defective is greater than 2.5%, we must have a problem with the product or plant ? Thanks.
