We use AQL 2.5, level 1 as the normal inspection level. For a part to qualify for skip lot the company procedure currently requires 10 consequtive received shipments to be accepted without any defects before allowing the part to be placed on skip lot (no inspection). Can anyone help in providing a method to calculate the reduction in our confidence level of accepting good parts if we reduced the number from 10 to a lower number, for example 5.
