Spam Bots -- I am trying to find ways to thwart them

During the first 12 hours of operation of this new forum it received two registrations. Both were made by commercial spam bots. Spam bots are web crawlers that automatically post messages containing links to commercial web sites.

I am working on this problem now. I hope to be able to prevent them from intruding.

Edit added 6/23/07: I modified to this forum after it received 11 spam registrations and posts by robot-crawlers in the first 24 hours. After 24 more hours, there have been no additional spam posts or registrations.

I am working on this problem now. I hope to be able to prevent them from intruding.

There has been no robot spam getting into this forum for a month -- since I updated the software and implemented new anti-spambot measures.
